Part-time/Full-time with adjustable schedules
The purpose of a Refrigeration Operator Trainee (Intern) is to learn how to maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventative maintenance and install equipment within and around the facilities so as to keep the production operational and have
zero loss of production chargeable to maintenance.
Provide own hand tools needed to safely perform the job and ha a tool box for storage.
Provide a means of notification/communication during non-working hours for emergencies. Respond to emergency call within thirty (30) minutes.
Ensure shop and surrounding areas are kept by the removal of all debris in work areas, workbenches, break rooms, all floors and the same are free of liquids, oils, and dirt.
Perform assigned tasks efficiently with minimum supervision.
Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
At least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Willing and able to work in wet and extreme hot and cold conditions.
Willing and able to work around dust, feathers, animals, and various cleaning chemicals.
Willing and able to climb stairs, work in confined spaces, and various floor surfaces.
High School Diploma or GED with strong reading, writing, analytical skills.
Currently enrolled in a technical school of training majoring in relevant courses.
Trainee/Intern will learn the following fundamentals:
Using Hand Tools
Using Portable Tools
Developing Troubleshooting Skills
Understand and use portable test equipment
Understand Basic Electricity and Electronics
Understand Basic Mechanics
Understand Drive Components
Understand the Operation of Pumps
Understand Basic Hydraulics
Understand Basic Pneumatics
Understand and troubleshoot gearboxes and reducers
Trainee/Intern will be required to gain the following certifications:
Waste Water permit and operator 1 license
Trained by utilities lead on all utilities, employee has 6 months to get signed off on all utilities (Broiler, Waste Water, and Refrigeration)
Completion of Broiler Operation seminar
Completion of RETA certification program Refrigeration for Operator 1
