Description/Job Summary


The minimum Formal Education preferred to be considered for this position is  (indicate level and years of education and, if a degree is required, the major):

Strong, reading, math, writing, communication skills (oral and written), analytical skills, and statistical background required.   Bachelor of Arts/Science (four year college/university degree) in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Business Management, Statistics, Information Technology, Education or related discipline is preferred.   

Specialized or technical knowledge, credentials or licensing required for the position include:

Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Instructor skills a plus.

Understand adult learning processes, instructional design and change management processes and techniques.

Ability to implement plans to train and develop associates.

Able to perform multiple tasks, knowing how to prioritize the work.

Attention to details with strong administrative skills.

Understand leadership principals and the behaviors and actions of an effective leader.

Ability to be an effective coach/mentor.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Able to build strong working relationships and effective working coalitions with team leaders and management.

Knowledgeable about the business and good business practices.

Ability to read, write and speak Spanish is a plus.


  1. Working with senior management responsible for implementation of the location training plans, programs, processes, and activities required as part of the on-boarding of new associates.
  2. Will be responsible for enhancing hourly associate‚Äôs interpersonal performance through training and development activities.  Recommendation to management on development of newly hired associates/mentors/leads.
  3. Plans and conducts assessments of the training and development needs of new hires.
  4. Provides Updates and help to individual associates, supervisors and managers regarding issues of new hire productivity, new hire effectiveness, and associate turnover.
  5. Coordinates and ensures new hire training programs are effective with measurable results. Tracks/monitors new hire training results.
  6. Use statistical process controls and data application to enhance new hire on-boarding program.
  7. Leadership skills will be relied on to support the plant operation as needed.


The Senior Line Leader works in a team environment to implement and evaluate new hire on-boarding, developmental plans, and training needs.   They participate in team decision-making. They will be relied on to make operational decisions in the production environment with the support and assistance of team leaders.  Special training and knowledge is used to review others' work for compliance with agreed-upon procedures and quality standards. Decisions directly impacting operating cost, or are a deviation of the project team's plans; company policies, procedures or practices require higher approval.
