Maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventative maintenance and install electrical equipment within and around the facilities, supervise class “A”, “B” and “C” Electricians, so as to keep the production operational and have zero loss of production
chargeable to electrical maintenance
#1 Must wear personal protective equipment as position requires and perform duties within established Perdue, OSHA safety procedures including lockout / tag out procedures.
#2 Must know shop math, be able to read blueprints, schematics and interpret same.
#3 Must have all required personal tools and have the ability to learn to use an operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment; Must be able to move throughout assigned areas of responsibility to perform trouble shooting procedures, repairs, and PM’s.
#4 Must be proficient and able to repair, install and maintain control circuits and motors, three phase volts: 480 volts, 440 volts, 220 volts, 208 volts and single phase volts: 120/110 volts. Knowledge of general wiring practice per National Electrical Code.
#5 Must be able to assist and participate in any maintenance related activities.
#6 Direct Class A, B and C Electricians in electrical installation, repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment, machinery and plant facilities and well as trouble shoot and diagnose electrical problems within the facility.
#7 Must have shown a proven concern and leadership role for safety compliance in workmanship and directing others’ activities. Has assured safety compliance with all regulations and requirements in all activities.
Strong reading, communication, writing, math and analytical skills required. High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess knowledge of electrical motors, controls, PLC’s, lighting systems and general wiring methods. Must be able to read blueprints,
schematics and interpret same.
In stationary positions or moving for 12 hours on a wet, moist, dry and greasy floors which includes metal or plastic grading surfaces with up to four (4) hours in a single interval. Ability to climb stairs, upon equipment, catwalks and work from various
ladders. Exposure to and work in temperatures of <0 to >100 degree Fahrenheit with ambient humidity, noise exposure of >110db, and light intensity range of <50 to >100 foot candles. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting and grasping varies in repetitions,
distance, degrees, angle, wight, height, longest interval of times, objects grasped and body positions depends upon the maintenance task being performed. Must be able to lift and control weights up to 100 pounds. Must be able to bend down and to maintain
and kneeling position. Must be able to work outside in a ll types of weather conditions. Exposure to chlorinated water <50PPM, ammonia vapors >5ppm, dry ice, detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, salt and other chemicals found in a poultry processing
operations. Must wear and/or use protective and safety equipment required for the job. Must work on phase three and single phase voltages.
