The Regional Sales Manager will manage and lead all aspects of the sales activities at assigned accounts. This includes goal setting, new business plans, establishing measurement and attaining results. Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for
implementation of the processes established by the VP West Sales and is ultimately responsible for the overall success of his or her accounts in terms of volume, profitability, introduction of new products/programs and overall customer satisfaction.
Manage current business with local distributors, local retailers and food service accounts.
Drive new business in key growth categories – fresh chicken and CPG refrigerated/frozen fully cooked.
Owns the demand plan for the region. Collaboratively plans with the customers and develops a forecast for the region. Establishes customer programs and plans to accomplish regional goals.
Manage quarterly ad activity, new product presentations and business reviews for assigned accounts.
Maintain accurate account information and records for communicating weekly account updates to management.
Ability to manage Brokers.
Category insights and TPM capabilities.
30% office time located in Petaluma, CA. 70% market time.
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration plus 10 years of related work experience. Retail experience required in the food sales industry, strong preference for candidates with protein experience. Must have strong reading, writing
and communication skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in CRM, TPM and IRI is required. The candidate should currently live in the Nor Cal Bay Area Metro Area. The position requires minimal overnight travel.
Preferred: Prior knowledge and experience in sales and/or marketing with the poultry industry strongly preferred.
