Perdue AgriBusiness has an opening for a Senior Commodity Movement Planner position in Salisbury, MD.

This position is responsible for coordinating among merchandising business units, operations and transportation to ensure inventory and sales demands are met utilizing resources in the most cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Coordinate among all merchandising business units and operations to ensure inventory and space is available to meet both sales and storage demands
  • Coordinate among merchandising, operation and transportation to assess the impact of changes in capacity and product supply
  • Coordinate with transportation to determine the availability of equipment
  • Daily communication with Regional CMP and assist with reporting  
  • Create, update load orders and entering load order accruals.  Close load orders as required
  • Assist in creating forward logistics plans; identifying synergies and opportunities for optimization
  • Maintain information that outlines logistic capabilities and quality requirements for customers and locations    
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

 

Preferred Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience

Required Education

  • High School Graduate or GED (required)

Preferred Education

  • BS Degree (AgriBusiness, Business, Sales or Marketing) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Sales and Marketing concepts
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Understanding of transportation modes and methodologies
  • Understanding of standard software applications
