Description/Job Summary


The primary purpose fo this position is to ensure compliance with all applicable safety related rules, policies and the complex ergonomics plan.  Must be able to identify and correct deviations from our plan and work with the local team to find resolution. Must provide mentorship to all newly hired associates, assist new associates with becoming acclimated to the plant environment. Provide support within new associate 90 days and possibly beyond. The Mentor/Safety verifier is the point of contact for all new hire associates.

Night Shift: Approximately 3:30PM - 12:00AM 

Note: The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of management and while generally as shown below, may be changed (increased or decreased) by management as required. 

Days of Work: Normally Monday through Friday as scheduled by management and Saturdays, holidays if needed by operations and approved by management. 


  • Inspect all areas daily and report to ensure compliance in all areas.
  • Facilitate ramp in and ergonomic program and evaluate for accuracy.
  • Provide education on our safety programs and appropriate training.
  • Act as a leader in safety and food safety meetings.
  • Provide support for any audit in the facility.
  • Mentor all new hire associates.
  • Provide feedback to Team Leads and HR regarding new hire progress or issues.

Required Skills

  • Effectively communicate to all levels of management in the facility. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Strong reading and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Bi-lingual is preferred but not required.

Required Experience

  • Must have a pleasant demeanor
  • Participated as a safety team member (safety verifier)
  • Able to communicate at all levels

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
