The purpose of a Live Haul Manager is to manage, supervise, organize, plan for and direct the Live Haul Department. This includes vehicles, equipment and personnel needed to pick up and deliver daily in a timely manner.
Plan the amount of equipment needed to operate the live haul department daily, monthly and annually.
Supervise the pick up and delivery of chickens to the processing plant by live haul personnel.
Train and direct the growth and development of personnel needed to carry out the live haul operation.
Work with the garage to insure that proper preventative maintenance of the equipment occurs daily.
See that the pick-up and driver's schedule are completed and posted daily.
Plan and set up safety guidelines and programs for all live haul personnel.
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years supervisory experience
4-6 years of transportation management experience
Understanding of standard software applications
