Description/Job Summary

The purpose of a Live Haul Manager is to manage, supervise, organize, plan for and direct the Live Haul Department. This includes vehicles, equipment and personnel needed to pick up and deliver daily in a timely manner. 


  • Plan the amount of equipment needed to operate the live haul department daily, monthly and annually.
  • Supervise the pick up and delivery of chickens to the processing plant by live haul personnel.
  • Train and direct the growth and development of personnel needed to carry out the live haul operation.
  • Work with the garage to insure that proper preventative maintenance of the equipment occurs daily.
  • See that the pick-up and driver's schedule are completed and posted daily.
  • Plan and set up safety guidelines and programs for all live haul personnel.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • 4-6 years of transportation management experience
  • Understanding of standard software applications
