Description/Job Summary

The E-Commerce Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue and share growth and sustainable profit in E-Commerce across Perdue Foods through our Customers and strong customer relationships.  They will work collaboratively with Trade, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and other cross-functional partners to grow existing business and establish new business through DTC E-Commerce segments and customers.  Primary focus is Pure Play (Amazon, Peapod, Jet), Meal Kits (Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, Home Chef), and DTC Protein (Butcher Box).  Responsible for leading customer joint business development through Merchandising/Trade, Pricing, Distribution, and Shelving, leading to mutual satisfaction of the business relationship.


  1. Own customer relationships and nurture for Perdue as the indispensable, go-to partner.
  2. Develop E-Commerce sales plans for each segment and customer to grow sales and share with E-Commerce customers, through joint business development.
  3. Create supporting trade programs for each customer and manage DTC E-Commerce trade budget.
  4. Analyze performance of trade and customer activities and optimize for efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Partner with customers to identify and sell products unique to their needs, and partner with Marketing to commercialize and bring products to market.
  6. Sell whole animal equivalent assortment and work to improve overall profitability.
  7. Collaboratively resolves customer issues, including quality, service, claims, data maintenance, etc.
  8. Champion customer collaborations on new opportunities and business building initiatives.
  9. Facilitate delivery and effective use of marketing supported assets (product information, imagery, content).
  10. Leverage technology and tools (e.g. Clavis, Stackline, IRI ePOS, Customer data) to improve E-Commerce results.
  11. Create and communicate weekly sales KPIs (revenue, volume, price, spend, etc.) to track performance.

Required Experience

Bachelors degree in Sales or related field plus 5-7 years related work experience or in the absence of a Bachelors degree, total work experience would equal 10 years. Ability to work with all levels of management required. Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm required. Proven leadership and business acumen skills with a commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent written, verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office environment required. 

PREFERRED:  Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
