Description/Job Summary

Our Monterey, TN facility is looking for an experienced Staffing Recruiter to be a strategic partner for staffing the facility, deploying new recruiting initiatives, and developing relationships with hiring managers.


  1. Provide operations management personnel with the ability to select qualified applicants for salary, clerical, technical and general labor associates utilizing effective and efficient recruitment, interviewing, and selection techniques. Through recruitment efforts, create community awareness that Perdue Farms, Inc. is the employer of choice.
  2. Identify, develop, implement, evaluate, measure, and improve the recruiting process for non-exempt and exempt positions. The recruiting process is required to maintain the required plant staffing (98%) as directed by Operations.  
  3. Establish an effective and efficient working relationship with plant management which creates an environment that facilitates the interviewing process, thus enabling the hiring of qualified applicants for plant positions.  
  4. If applicable, provide training and direction to the hourly staff to insure compliance with all laws and regulations concerning the interviewing process, AAP compliance.    
  5. Create new; innovative methods to improve the recruitment process to continually improve the experience and skill set of applicants. Recommend to management for approval, implement, measure, audit and report results to management.   
  6. Achieve measurable results that demonstrate improvement in hiring ratio (applicants vs. hires).
  7. Insure all required paperwork (application, reference checks, interview notes, completed I-9 Form) are forwarded to the Employment Process Administrator to insure proper, correct intake.

Required Experience

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or equivalent related experience. Previous experience in a staffing role within a manufacturing environment is required.  Proven knowledge of laws surrounding the interview process. Exposure to AAP requirements as it applies to the recruitment, interviewing, and selection process. Proven supervisory experience in an office setting. Proven track record of innovative methods to recruit the targeted workforce. Proven track record of creative methods to recruit that resulted in turnover reduction.
