The purpose of a Team Lead in Dressing is to provide leadership within the department, supervise the department, and ensure product requirements are met while maintaining good housekeeping.
Achieving the highest level of quality and production on all harvest lines.
Ensure all equipment scolders, pickers, head pullers, hock cutters, auto rehang, etc. are working at its highest level of performance.
Supervises 2 pinners, 3 back-up harvesters, Picking Lead and Stun Kill Lead person(s) to ensure they all meet on quality and production goals. Train and educate the TEAM as well as TEAM Management.
Control man hours and staffing. Reduce turnover to zero. Attends and holds regular meetings to communicate and inform Management and hourly subordinate of the Dressing process.
Ensure rotation and ergonomics programs are in place for first processing.
High school diploma or equivalent with strong reading, math and analytical skills required. Must obtain Jack, Jockey and Forklift License within 30 days of employment
4 Years of experience. Bachelor of Science or Arts in Poultry Science, Business, Management, or related field preferred.
