The overall purpose of the Staff Nurse LPN under the supervision of the nursing supervisor is to administer necessary medical care to the associates and others as required or assigned within the scope of nursing practice, complete physical assessment sheet
and review medical history; to record work related issues and report OSHA recordable and workers’ compensation cases to the nursing supervisor; assist with medical cost management; to complete other assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Administer medical care by giving first aid treatment; sending to physician or health care facility as appropriate; documenting information; completing necessary forms, and informing nursing supervisor.
Administer medical care for work related or non-work related illnesses, following appropriate algorithm, or other medical directives, or accepted nursing standards, referring cases to physicians as needed. Document as appropriate.
Perform physicals after reviewing history information with associate; complete information on physical form, and other forms as appropriate.
Assist with medical cost management by early intervention in care of associates with constant follow up; order medical supplies as needed.
Assist with administration of medical LOAs under direction of Nurse/Wellness Center Supervisor to reduce time away from work, processing of physician’s notes.
Complete termination files; assist with drug screens, TB skin testing, wellness programs, etc. as assigned by nursing supervisor.

At least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year in the past five years.
Successful completion of an approved practical nursing program.
Current license of state of practice.
Current certification in CPR in good standing.
Good verbal & written communication skills; Phlebotomy skills preferred
