The Demand Planner will interact with Customer Service, Sales, Trade Marketing and Supply Planning associates to gain intelligence to improve quality of forecast for assigned channels, customers or products. They will monitor forecast accuracy and bias
and tune statistical forecast models to improve overall forecast quality. The Demand Planner will work cross functionally to resolve Issues related to Imbalances between supply and demand.
Manage JDA statistical forecast models. Accurately maintain master data that drives forecast models. Take action, based on forecast exception reports, and tune forecast models to improve forecast accuracy and quality.
Monitor Forecast accuracy and Bias for assigned customers, channels or products. Take a proactive approach to gain intelligence needed to improve forecast quality. Systematically review forecast with Sales team for assigned channels to gain consensus of
React to forecast concerns raised by Supply Planners, Trade Marketing, Sales or Marketing. Continuously work to improve overall forecast Quality.
Maintain weekly reporting that illustrates forecast Accuracy, forecast Bias and future supply and demand balance where appropriate.
Take a leadership role in vetting forecast with assigned Channels or Customer groups quarterly. Make appropriates changes to forecast to match expectations of individual sales teams. Pass updated forecast to finance to be used as volume input to the company’s
financial forecast. Maintain reporting that shows comparison of ongoing statistical forecast to quarterly financial forecast updates and annual operating plan.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent work experience, plus 3 - 4 years related work experience. Similar industry and supply chain experience is a plus. Possesses sound business and
industry experience and above average numerate and analytical skills. Knowledge of statistics and forecasting techniques; knowledge of JDA demand and Demand 360 and knowledge of SAP as it relates to customer orders, history and hierarchies are required. Requires
a detailed and working knowledge of computers and an understanding of how data is passed between systems. Working knowledge of planning systems such as JDA / Manugitics / SAP APO a plus. Above Average Analytical skills with working knowledge of Microsoft
Office products and proficiency in use of Excel are required.
