Description/Job Summary

1st  Shift Evisceration. (Salary Manager).

The purpose of a First Processing Team Leader is to oversee the day-to-day supervision of production associates to achieve required production and quality standards while making sure that all associates are working in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.  The Team Lead is also responsible for promoting and maintaining positive working relationships with the production group which includes hourly and salary associates.


  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tag Out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
  • Train, direct, and develop subordinates to meet operating, safety, and quality requirements within the department/area.
  • Supervise production staff to ensure product quality and integrity, and ensures all finished product meets or exceed customer requirements.
  • Creates and maintains an environment that is conducive to retaining associates.  Consistently administers company policies and procedures.
  • Support and promote the company's annual People, Products, and Profitability goals through effective and efficient planning, communication, coaching, training, and overall direction of the workforce.
  • Creates and implements, with management approval, new ideas and methods to improve production efficiencies, CSI, QI, and Safety Scorecard.
  • Support the 3 P's.  People-Turnover, Safety, Associates Engagement; Products-Quality and consistency of products; Profitability-Contribute to achievement of Key Initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year in the past three years.
  • Willing and able to work in wet and extreme cold and hot conditions.
  • Willing and able to work around dust, feathers, animals, and various cleaning chemicals.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent with strong reading, math, writing, and analytical skills.  Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior and related experience in supervision.  Previous manufacturing, production, especially food production experience is a plus.
