Description/Job Summary

SUMMARY:
The overall purpose of this position is to assist supervisors to ensure that production within WPL meets all SOP’s and quality standards.
 
The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of management and, while generally as shown below, there may be changes (increased or decreased) by management as required.
 
Hours of Work:  Generally Wed – Sat 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tue – Sat 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM or
Sun – Tues 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or until production is complete.  Overtime may be scheduled as needed and directed by management.
 
Days of Work: Normally Wed – Sat or Sun – Tues as scheduled by management and unscheduled work days and holidays, if needed by operations and approved by management.

Responsibilities/Duties

PRINCIPAL AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Describe below the major responsibilities of this position which must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodations in order to achieve the essential purpose of this position.
Oversee the start-up of WPL lines, confirm lines and paperwork ready for production to start on time.
Provide breaks for associates when needed, fills in at all positions to maintain production. 
Maintain daily reports to include but not limited to; line starvation report, downtime report, line efficiency report.
Continually verify line information from production checklist. 
Keep supervisor informed of line status. Notifies supervisor of any issues that may develop on the line which may inhibit production or affect the quality of product. 
Able to change labels and make minor adjustments in line settings. Perform minor maintenance repairs and PM’s.
Maintain a safe and clean work area, includes the cleaning of production lines.  Follow all safety guidelines within the facility
Hold informational meetings for associates.  Participate in skill enhancement programs. Learn general clerical duties and fill in as needed.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

Required Experience

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (include any specialized or technical knowledge, certifications, credentials or licensing required for this position)
 
REQUIRED:   High school diploma or GED equivalent.  Basic reading, writing, and analytical skills are required.  Must be able to comprehend and follow SOP’s.
