The purpose of an Electronics Tech. “B” is to perform all assigned Electronic Technician duties within class to include equipment repairs, PM’s, diagnostics, troubleshooting and emergency response on equipment in the facility.
Perform regular adjustments, calibrations and repair work in response to department demands both during production and no production hours.
Respond to processing managers needs and request on an as needed basis or through work assignments as assigned by Manager.
Use programming knowledge of PLC”s Panel view Programming, and Weight ronix Simpose rSoftware.
Diagnose and repair equipment to the circuit board level.
Read and understand electronic and electrical schematic diagrams.
Respond to emergency breakdowns during both on and off duty hours to ensure operations continue on a 24 hours a day basis.
Performs electronics shop functions as directed by management.
Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout/tag-out, and Perdue safety book guidelines.
Communicate as necessary to all other Electronic Technicians daily issues, fixes, needed repairs, emergency repairs, as well as any needed scheduled repairs needed for weekend work.
At least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year in the past three years.
Willing and able to work in wet and extreme hot and cold conditions.
Willing and able to work around dust, feathers, animals, and various cleaning chemicals.
Willing and able to climb stairs, work in confined spaces, and various floor surfaces.
Must be able to lift and control weights up to 100lbs while moving throughout the facility.
High School Diploma or GED with good reading, writing, math and analytical skills is required.
Perform requirements of Electronics Tech. “C”.
Vocational/Technical school training in electronics/computers and 18 months practical experience is required in electronics or industrial electricity/maintenance.
Must be NFPA 70E, CPR and First Aid Certified.
Must wear required safety equipment including self-containing breathing apparatus as required.
Must wear FR rated clothing as required.
