Description/Job Summary

Perdue Agribusiness, LLC has an immediate opening for a Temporary Weighing and Grading Operator at our Salisbury, MD facility. The position will report to the Grain Storage Manager. This position is responsible for the weighing, preparing, testing, and grading of inbound and outbound grain shipments.  Additionally, the position will provide customer support to include answering telephones, responding to customer questions regarding account information, and making edits to documentation as required. 

The schedule of this position will be Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm with extended hours including evenings and weekends during Harvest season.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Collecting grain samples using automated or manual grain probe and other equipment as required.
  • Weighing inbound and outbound grain shipments
  • Preparing, inspecting, and testing grain for all factors
  • Completing grain data entry forms and documentation
  • Maintaining proper set-up, inspection, and calibration of grain testing and weighing equipment
  • Providing customer support to include answering telephones and working with customers on account information and making edits to documentation as required

Required Education

  • High School Graduate or GED, further education preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong customer support skills
  • Able to maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
  • Strong Microsoft excel, and other computer software abilities.
  • Able to communicate effectively, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems and demonstrate high integrity.
