The purpose of a Maintenance Mechanic C is to repair, install, maintain and adjust all equipment in assigned areas in a safe and productive manner.
Must have basic hand tools based on approved Maintenance list.
Must be able to lace or splice wire & KVP belting.
Must be able to do basic production setup on formax’s.
Must be able to change drive sprockets, chains, etc.
Must be able to grease all equipment.
Must be trained and able to perform lockout tag out.
Must be able to start up all pieces of equipment.
Must be able to interpret an English measuring instrument.
Must have prior forklift experienece.
Perform duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, Senior Technician, Class A Technician, or Lead Person.
Work with Maintenance supervisors, and other Mechanics in various areas of the plant in the installation, repair, and adjustment of equipment.
Ability to interpret an English measuring instrument. Identify different nuts / bolts and associated tools. Have operating knowledge of an volt-ohm-amp meter.
Have ability to read and analytical skills are required.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two year Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
Ability to work for 8 hours in a stationary position or travel on a wet, moist, dry, greasy, floors which may include medal or plastic grating surfaces with up to 4 hours in a single interval. Ability to work from various types of ladders. Exposure to
and work in temperatures of less than -40 degrees and 75 degrees with ambient humidity, also will require from time to time working outside, on roof,during all seasons of the year and temperatures associated with the seasons. Noise of 110 db, and light intensity
range of 50 to 100 foot candles. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, heights, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the maintenance task
required. Must be able to lift and control weights up to 50 pounds. Exposure to chlorinated water ( 50 ppm, Amonia vapors ) 5 ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing plant. Must
use and / or wear protective and safety equipment required for the job.
